The ZMNT tools are currently loacted in several labs. Though safety rules are mostly the same in all labs, there are some differences, which have to be considered. Therefore, different online safety tests on clean-room safety and behavior and different on-site safety trainings exist, i.e.
- an online safety test for the clean-rooms at ZMNT – module 1 and at IHT (via the RWTHmoodle platform), which is the prerequisite for
- the on-site safety training at ZMNT – module 1 and
- the on-site safety training at IHT,
- an online safety test for the clean-room at CDPP (also via the RWTHmoodle platform), which is the prerequisite for
- an additional online safety test for the wet benches at CDPP and
- the on-site safety training at CDPP.
In the FOM system, please apply to the approporiate online safety test according to the on-site safety training you want to take. Subsequently, you will be notified via e-mail that you have access to the specific online test.
Procedure for the online safety test at ZMNT – module 1 and at IHT

Download the files provided under “Learning Materials” and throroughly go through the material.
Afterwards, take the e-test. You can repeat the e-test as many times as are necessary to pass the threshold of 85% correct answers.
Once you passed the threshold, send an e-mail to Birger Berghoff AND Noël Wilck stating that you have passed the e-test successfully with more than 85% correct answers. Your result in RWTHmoodle will be rechecked and you will be notified via e-mail that your user level in FOM system for this online safety test has been changed, which allows you to apply for the respective on-site safety training.
Procedure for the online safety test at CDPP
Contact: Rebecca Rodrigo
Download the files provided under “General safety training” and thoroughly go through the material.
Afterwards, take the e-test. You can repeat the e-test as many times as are necessary to pass the threshold of 95% correct answers.
Once you passed the threshold, send an e-mail to to Rebecca Rodrigo stating that you have passed the e-test successfully with more than 95% correct answers. Your result in RWTHmoodle will be rechecked and you will be notified via e-mail that your user level in FOM system for this online safety test has been changed, which allows you to apply for the respective on-site safety training or do the wet bench safety e-test in RWTHmoodle. For the latter, proceed analogously to the “General safety training” with the “Wet bench safety training”.
